Methodism is a Christian movement rooted in the 18th-century revival led by John and Charles Wesley. We Methodists build our faith on the teachings of the Bible, a personal relationship with God, and communal responsibility.

We believe in one God, who is revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. We understand salvation to be a gift from God – we receive it by grace through faith in Jesus, and it cannot be earned through our own deeds.

Our faith is made visible in everyday life through love and good works. The Holy Spirit guides us to grow toward holiness and likeness of Christ, and we recognize that as Christians we have a responsibility to help our neighbors and work for justice.

As John Wesley said: “The world is our parish.” This calls us to care not only for our own community but for the whole world.

The Bible is the foundation of our faith, but we also draw on tradition, reason, and personal experience to understand it. Important moments in our lives include, for example, baptism and Holy Communion, which remind us of God’s love and presence.

For us, Methodism is more than just a religion – it is a way of living out God's love in our hearts, our community, and the world.
